My name is Lyra Thompson. I am a 2D animation student in University of the Arts London. I also studied on Exchange at Lasalle college of the Arts.Softwares: TVPaint, Toonboom Harmony, Maya, ZBrush, Adobe Photshop & Adobe AfterEffects.

Knitted In
Knitted In is my directorial debut, it is having it's first screening July 2026. It follows Gertie refusing to acknowledge the grief caused by her husband's death, instead distracting herself with knitting.
I was lead animator and clean up artist, see some of my favourite work below.
Mija
Mija was a collaboration project I did with Nico Gomez Fischer during my student exchange at Lasalle College of the Arts. The assignments theme was "human's and technology".Nico was Director, Storyboarder and Background Artist. I lead on animation, and did all colouring and compositing. Running for Tomorrow
"Running for Tomorrow" Is a collaboration between UAL and the NHS South-East London Cancer Alliance. The short animation depicts the struggles of endocrine treatment to make patients feel less alone, while emphasising the importance of reaching out and getting support.
